Growing in our faith is a lifelong process of exploring big and small questions, delving into the Bible, spending time in prayer, and being in a community of friends on the same journey. Gloria Dei Church has a variety of programs for its adult membership and for the community it serves. The common purpose of each is to provide for the participant an experience for spiritual growth. Come join us to find your joy and deepen your faith.
Discipleship Groups and other small groups are another way our community does spiritual and faith formation. Some of these groups are long-term and others meet for just a season or series of weeks. We have both Men’s and Women’s Group monthly meetings, short-term prayer groups, faith accountability groups, and so much more. Check with the office to see what groups are meeting or forming soon.
Growing in Grace (GIG) is a weekly forum that tackles faith questions and bible studies led usually by the pastor. We have had series on “Bad Girls of the Bible,” favorite books of the bible, Lutheran Beliefs and the Reformation, Lessons on Grief and Loss from the Bible, and many others. Pre-Covid, this adult forum conversation happened on Tuesday evenings in the Chapel at 7pm. Many of our GIG folks came for the Community Meal at 6pm prior and then joined the discussion. We are hoping to start both the Community Meal and GIG series again in the Fall of 2021.
Retreats and other activities take place year around. Check our calendar of events or with the office to see what’s coming up next.
